New Computer Tower, yay!

Would you believe it?  A new computer, yes, new...not refurbished, not a re-assembled, not a hand-me-down, but NEW...thank you Lord!...thank you DH...thank you geeky child!

It may be that I'll be here more often, Lord willing, to share knitting, sewing, cooking, Bible verses, and assorted opinions. 


This post is a sort of test post.  Since I've not posted [you know how happy I am under my rock] you could have wondered what happened to me--did anyone? 

I am posting for a minute to say hello to all my Girly Girls. So, HI! EVERYONE.

This cake is so yummy, it only needs a scoop of lemon sorbet, or a little bit of my generic cake topping...some Sour cream with a tiny amount of sugar, my preference being cane sugar only.  But this is so delicious that it does not need anything else.  Thank you Lucy!

Computers...hahh!

Hello Girlie Girls:

Been off line, but still knitting, crocheting, mending, baking, etc., only I had a very bad virus/malware.  Some called it "this is a mess" and others called it "impossible to get rid of."

OK, not so fast...worked to get rid of it...nothing... genius son...and...voila` he repaired most of it.  The email portion is still off, now is up to my email 'keeper' to do the rest.  It is all, so time consuming...and I have to make phone calls or stay "under the rock" so I cannot communicate electronically. 

Oh, yeah, we also had a power outage a couple of times...but only for a few hours.  It was nice having candles...no phone...no computer...no nuttin'  cool, eh? (like Nancy Today says)

Yup, I got some pictures but cannot use the port yet...in a few days...

Updating blog after a million years...

Making cake and muffins in the toaster oven

Got a new toaster oven last month.  So I'm making some muffins shape little cakes, and what could not fit in the muffin tin, I put in a pie pan.  I'll let you know how it comes out.

Still playing with the header photo...I should get it right soonish.

As far as weather, you know, it's hot...but getting a respite this week.

All's well cause the stores have their back to school sales and that makes me glad for the cooler weather that is coming.  Although some people still have to go on vacation, nevertheless, the back-to-school sales show that fall is not so far away. 

I went to Hobby Lobby--love that store--and got some flowers for my Mom.  These are a sort of nosegay.  One is tea roses and the other one is a coral and pinkish.  They were on 50% off sale [how great is that] so she gets 2 bouquets for the price of one. 

She does not like to, nor is she interested in taking care of house plants or flowers so these silk flowers should do the trick.  She loves to have pretty flowers, so I'll trade them once a week or so.

Taking a course on placing pictures

Yea, I've been swirled by having been gone for so long.  So there! 
This is worse than missing a week of exercise. 
"They" have taken away Picnik...what will I use now????  I've been to the google+ yadah, yadah, and I must not be looking in the right place. 

If any of you are using a good picture resizing page, let me know.  Already spent more than 2 hours looking and 'trying' to no avail...sigh...

Almost one year?

Now I have to learn to navigate the new blogger format. 
In fact, reading blogs has not been included in my daily routine.  Why?...well...like with everything, it was a combination of many things.  Some of which are:  busy with the care of my Mom, twice daily now, and for the last 8 months or so.  Still have all the other people and life.  Besides I did not get an extra 4 to 6 hours more per day, but, you say, we all have the same 24 hours! Yes, I must reprogram myself and family for these changes.

Perhaps it is fatigue, or weariness.  Yup, I'm getting used to it--or rather--becoming accustomed to all the different things. 

There are some pictures I must download for you.  Let me see if I remember...be right back...
