After many months, I'm back--maybe, hopefully.
Had many, time consuming-full of red tape, and stuff-upon-stuff obligations. I am hoping that most 'stuff' has quieted, and 'normalized'. By God's grace I should be able to resume posting, such as it is.
I can tell you that I was very content dwelling under my rock, and I love it here. I am a home body-to the Nth degree. So...I'm minding my own business, looking at youtubes about knitting, crocheting, and practical, albeit crafty things, and BOOM, out of nowhere comes the thumbnails about journaling. (What in the world is 'journaling'?) So...like a good little techno-girl, I googled! and found MILLIONS (slight exaggeration) of MANY TYPES of journaling. There is: regular journaling, smash journaling, art journaling, junk journaling--that I have found, there must be more.
These people are so clever (I know the rest of us are clever as well) in how they compile, record, organize, and assemble these MANY MULTITUDES of journals. I have gotten acquainted with Hobonichi, and Midori, as well as the already 'old hat' Filofax and Moleskine. (Those avid users will correct me, as to the age of each).
Of all the girls I've watched--and one guy: Victor from Ukraine, I have some favourites. If you want to check them out I'm giving you the "shout out' (new term I've learned) used to be called a list...but who am I to be static--come to the 21st Century, as my children say!
My favourite by far is Shannon Green. Then; Pocketfullofvintage, next there is MissVickyBee,
and also Jennifer of ChicSparrow.
Those are only a tiny portion of what's there to inspire you in whatever your hobby may be.
Pocketfull of Vintage has a pen 'collection'--cool! Miss Vicky has many journals. Victor makes stuff and stuff. Shannon makes art journals that do not look like anything pretty--during the process--but the end product is quite something! I have used a couple of tips from Shannon: one is using deli paper and glue stick to mend a torn Bible page. The repair is barely visible, sooo cool!
I have watched these amazing artists while I do my knitting, and crochet. It is calming...which I needed over the last months.
So...no pictures this time, but I hope you enjoy the links. I've almost forgotten how to blog...besides the fact that 'they' have changed things...no matter...I'll get caught up soon.
