Knitted hat

Mr. PeasantHouse in his red hat, and wearing "five sweaters" covered with snow after he shoveled half of the driveway...not to be mistaken for a Scandinavian ancestor...sorry about the blurr.

These are the mailman's footsteps...

Close up of the new hat for Mr. PeasantHouse.  He did not want to be the gnomish neighbour, so he asked for another color hat, this one is a bluish grey.

After knitting a cuff in 1x1 rib I knitted 3 rows in stokinette so it would turn up on itself.
I had to tack the top to the back seam in a Phrygian Cap fashion.  It looks very nice...liberte.egalite.fraternite...you know the French Revolution logo...

It looks like an owl to me.

New pair of sock for Mr. PeasantHouse.  I went to Hobby Lobby last week, before the blizzard and in preparation for the snow event and bought this sock yarn.  It is their own brand.  It is very nice with a good twist, which makes the socks more durable.
Close up so you can see the tiny gauge.  7.5 stitches to the inch on #2 DP needles.  They will be warm!
The gray knit is my triangle shawl knitted on #8 needles in garter stitch.
I'll leave you with this:

The understatement of the Midwest and East...Snow...

yup,  14+ inches of snow all over the place.  It looks crisp and clean.
We are all well, everything is back to normal...ploughed, shoveled, scraped, and doorhugs in place.
Mr. PeasantHouse came home early from work yesterday...everyone went home...yesterday...this morning we had a replica of the Rockies at the foot of our driveway...plough (plow) had gone by...could not drive out of the garage...stayed home and shoveled, and shoveled.  Well, you know.

We have tons of pictures...but so does 2/3 of the nation.  Someone called this blizzard, "The Blizzard of Oz" cute...but it did not come from us, but from Alaska's Pacific waters...up in the sky.

I plan to show you some of my latest knitting projects soon, really.

I'll leave you with this:
