Ironic Irene...

Hey, Girly Girls!

Do you find it ironic that 'they' would name an hurricane IRENE? It is the Greek word for PEACE, i.e., "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."  John 14:27
But...who knows?  Will Irene 'strike' the Eastern Seaboard on the 27th? Or will it cause its most spectacular devastation on that day?

So, girlies, let not your heart be troubled, trust in Him who is your Peace.  As Paul says in Ephesians 2:14 and 15
  "For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace"

?>?>?>?>?>?>?>?>?>?>?>?>?>?>?>?>?>?>?>?>?>?

On the subject of needlework, baking, and other fun stuff...no-thing! Done none of it...so hot and sticky, I cannot bring myself to touch wool.  I tried on a 'coolish' day, but for 20 seconds, and that was enough!

It looks like we have just a few more days of hot heat and then some cooling--real cooling--will be coming our way.

Speaking of 'natural' stuff...some people have been saying that at a BIG earthquake event in California, some time in the unforseen future, the lovely sunny state will fall into the ocean.  You've all heard that, haven't you?
Well, it seems that this alarmist statement is completely true:  the USA will brake off at the Allegheny Mountains and everything West of there will go into the Pacific.  (Soooo NOT true...)  Although God would be absolutely justified if He did that, He won't.
That was a simple statement to make sure you were awake and paying attention.

Better get the next load in the washer.

I'll leave you with this:

 "That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus." Ephesians 2:7

In His hands,  ^__^
