Place the work on the needles, wrong sides facing each other.
I use these dental loops. they work great for threading the linker and the serger!
Press the foot pedal and link away.
There you go...cut off at the end, but getting better...with practice.

Love your video! Its so cool that you are putting videos on you tube. I didn't know that you guys had a video camera. What kind is it?

Thank you so much for makeing the linker video. I just received my new to me Erika and would have had a much harder time without it. Just have one question. Where do I get needles for this? I have a feeling I am going to need them.

To DiAnn, as far as I know there are no replacement needles available, except at ebay, and very, very seldom. Both needle parts, and the holding needles are made of high grade stainless steel. They are very durable and should last for many years of heavy use. The Erika linker was an industrial machine, which was adapted for small business and home use. ^__^
To Emily, our 'video' camera is my picture camera. Kodak Easyshare, which I got for my Birthday. ^__^
Great video! If you do another could you show how the needle is changed and how the thread gets hooked forming a chain. I followed the instructions and the needle isn't hooking the yarn - is an adjustment needed? Thanks
