Blogging Etiquette

And sisterly help...
I need your input about the comments.

  1. When you leave a comment, do you want to read my comment on your comment?

  2. Is commenting on comments something to be done?

  3. Is it discretionary on the part of the blogger?

That's all for today.

I'll leave you with this:

"Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man." Pro 3:3-4

In His hands, ^__^

I think it's entirely up to you if you want to comment on my comment. I don't expect answers.

Either way, I don't think it matters. Now I do like to comment back to people on mine when I can ... I enjoy reading their comments and sometimes want to write back. But that's just me, I don't think it matters at all. I lurk at lots of blogs and lots don't comment back.
You have a beautiful blog and I enjoy visiting. I like the scriptures you put up on your blog. They are refreshing.

I think it's up to you. Perhaps if there's a comment that really needs an answer that you think others would be interested in, you could make a new post about that so that it's not missed. But it's entirely up to you. I love reading comments on my new blog, but as much as I'd like to, I can't respond to them all. And I don't always comment but that doesn't mean I don't visit.

Sorry to add another comment, but I didn't know how else to contact you. I was wondering if I can put a link to your blog on mine? The link to my new blog is on Daisy's board if you want to check it out first before deciding. Please don't feel that you have to say 'yes'. I'll respect your answer.

Hi Jules, I posted on your blog, and am hoping it's ok to link to you, if not I'll delete.

Thanks for the idea of making a separate post for 'a comment of interest'

Good question. I think it should be up to the blogger. When I first started mine I had a person, a troublesome person, who commented a lot and also rather demanded that I comment back. I was disturbed by that attitude and, not knowing any better, thought I was being a thoughtless blogger by not commenting on comments. I disabled comments. Now that I've changed my mind, my blog is messed up and I *can't* enable comments. Sheesh. I think it's fun sometimes when people comment back on my comment, but it can really be too much sometimes. What? Must we also then comment on a comment of a comment? Sometimes, I make time to blog and I don't have time, or I do not have the energy, to comment back. I still enjoy comments tremendously.

That's what I think about that. lol!
