I really like sheep, for two reasons: I love to knit with wool, and Jesus calls or equates us (Christians) with sheep. The latter reason I have investigated very often and in depth, and I've come to fully appreciate those wooly fluffs. Not just for the use of their wool but because we really are dumb (the current meaning) which keeps me from any kind of pride or vainglory.
I will not wax philosophical, but come to he point of the pictures below. I found this black face white sheep at a garage sale. It sat here and there around the house, and looked very unimportant, and extremely plain. It occured to me to knit her a sweater with some leftover yarn from the bottom of a basket. I did not want to make plain stripes, so a little fair isle quick knit and Voila'! the cute little critter was made over.
She may accompany some pictures every now and again, actually she could be the mascot of Peasant House. Here she is
I never gave her a name, would you like to offer suggestions?
I'll leave you with this:
"Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture." Psa 100:3
In His hands, ^__^
