Most of you have crunchy water. Ice or snow, or sleet or freezing rain; we have some of the above. Not too much, but enough to make everything look picturesque. It will be a good day for making my most famous Sour Cream Cake.
Plough just went by and sprinkled a generous amount of sand and salt on the road.
Knitted a blanket for a baby boy, 3h. Medium gray, with a fluid drape and soft and cuddly.
Sorry about the blur...
Knitted a triangular shawl for a pastor's wife we know.
I modified the Stonington Shawl--Elizabeth Zimmerman's--to make the triangle instead of the square. The border is the same one as the full shawl.
Used the picot bind off at the top (long) side of the shawl so it would be more supple and easier to wear. This is iknitwithcatfur youtube channel. She is very good in her demonstrations.
the point of the shawl came out more rounded than angular. Next time I make a shawl with a lacy border, I will start with many more than the typical 3 sts. It seems that 6 or 8 sts for the first row will make an easier 'corner to turn' when knitting the edge on. I really like the rounded effect much better than the sharp 90 degree angle.
OK, I'm off to bake and other less fun stuff--laundry.
I'll leave you with this:
In His hands, ^__^
