Almost forgot...

I (sort of) complained about being stresssssed...well I forgot the most stressing thing of all...helping my goater friend dehorn a new batch of babies--no pictures. It takes her 10 seconds per horn, and the kid doe or kid buck do not experience discomfort by that...but they sure don't like to be held tightly. Although she had a box made for that specific procedure, I had to hold their heads (one-at-a-time) from the up and down, and, side to side jerky motions.

One Momma

Since it was the first time I helped, and had never seen it done, she told me exactly what to do and how to do it...and she encouraged me by saying that I did very well. Nevertheless, it was much, much more different than anything else, that I've helped her with.

I was the one stressed, not the goats, and not the goater...who laughed--kindly--at me. I was most concerned with hurting the baby goats than anything else.

It all finished well, even, holding each one of them in my arms while she gave them their tetanus shots.
Another Momma and two kids...in the back is the goat's 'igloo'

And Papa...his name is Snickers...such a gentle, gentle buck...relaxing and eating his alfalfa hay.
He produces very gentle offspring.

I'll leave you with this:

"Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy." I Peter 1:16
In His hands, ^__^

You must have been worn out from holding those goats! Being tense about it would wear you out even more thoroughly! I like the way you describe their moving heads, side to side an dup and down. nice.

Thanks for the lovely phone call! It was just wonderful.
Love,
Nancy
