Storms--Schmorms

WOW! ! ! !

We had some looming, dark, 'rotating', impending, threatening, slow moving, tornado producing--not--clouds last night.

Those are all the words they were using, the weather pundits. It looked dark, because the storms were coming from the southwest, therefore, covering the setting sun.
The wind was strong for a few seconds--at least here--and we had more than 4 inches of rain...but no tornadoes. THANK YOU, LORD!

What those pundits do not tell you is that we will have the most quantitative, qualitative, bumper crop of berries--all kinds--this year, because of all the water that came from the sky, i.e., rain.

I know, I know, there were several towns devastated west and north of us. (Lord, help them recover their losses) My 'beef' is with the hype of the weathercasters. We do not watch television, except in 'impending bad storms', so we were watching: One channel's 'caster was hoping for a tornado, another one was afraid of a tornado, the other one was too nervous, and the fourth one was very-matter-of-fact about the whole report. We watched him mostly, I say mostly because the others have different radar views and helicopter coverage of the actual 'lowering' clouds.

It was quite interesting, and I got a lot of handwork done [sort of watched the Lakers/Celtics also--good game.]

About the 'invitational' thing I was telling you about: I will do it monthly rather than weekly. I know myself, that I have good intentions but too many 'real life' distractions, to be able to commit to a weekly thing.

OK, HOW ABOUT ... YOU SHARE--IN YOUR BLOG--ON THE FOURTH WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH, THE "WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE LOVELY" IN YOUR LIFE.

I have seen several ladies who do something like, 'unclutter Saturday' or 'talk about it Tuesday' or something similar. Since I love the word of God, I chose the phrase from Philippians 4.

I will define it more clearly 'soon' and post an example. I will be posting regularly on the fourth Wednesday--Lord willing, about lovely things.

I'll leave you with this:

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Philippians 4:8

In His hands, ^__^

I like the idea of sharing the things that are lovely in our lives if I can just remember to do it. Some weather men are so funny. We used to have one that would get all excited and breathless when the weather was severe. He was entertaining to watch.
