How sweet of the Lord to call us sheep. If we would only trust Him to do what He says He will do. Like the loving shepherd cares for his sheep, when they trust and obey his commands, the shepherd is able to do amazing things with his flock.
We have no clue as to what He has planned for us. We do not even entertain the thought that we can make Him 'look good' by doing His pleasure--which is always very good.
May we, the sheep of his pasture, bring glory to Our Lord. Even if as the sheep in this video did by obeying their shepherd.

I should be vacuuming, but...
Was waiting for a friend to return my call, so I decided to look at knitting YouTubes.
I had seen this one many months ago, and could not find it again. But, I want to share it with you. You see, I have a family member who once told me that crocheting was for 'old ladies' and I should knit only--and maybe, just maybe, crochet an edge on a sweater [that being the only permissible crochetting]...whell!!!!! (this means 'well' said with surprise and disdain--with the wh sound of who)
Trying not to digress here...The girl in the kitchen pouring tea, and giving her 'testimonial', made me think of that instance. Very funny video. Enjoy.

Very boring--A Literary Rant..well...whatever!
I am getting very bored with Atlas Shrugged. Have read several chapters and it is the same 'descriptive descriptions described' type of prose. But now it has bad words included in the dialogue. Why?!! Are all secular authors sneaky? Do all of them do this?
The last novel I read was Taylor Caldwell's Captains And The Kings back in the day (approx. 1979) Yeah! that was another suppossed-to-have-been-disguised-truth...oh well.
I DO NOT like novels.
There is so much real stuff to read that I don't like to take time to read dribble--regardless of the 'social impact' it may--allegedly--have...vailed political intrigue...et cetera.
I will put it on the 'back shelf' and pick it up again when I have read all the magnificent things that are out there.
I'll leave you with this:

Made pizza
I was watching Nancy Today the other day, and she made pizza.
Waddaya think? the yellowish stuff is the pimento juice in the sauce that comes up though the bubbling cheese.
In a blender place:
1 t oregano
1 t crushed red peppers
1 t parsley flakes
1 large jar (1/2 cup) of sliced pimentos
1 can of anchovy fillets (drain the oil, and save for later)
1/2 of a medium onion
6-8 cloves of fresh garlic
the juice from a can of diced tomatoes
Blend all these until all ingredients are creamy
Add the solid pieces of the diced tomatoes and blend 3-6 pulses--a very short time.
Place this sauce in a bowl and add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of olive oil (which may include the anchovy oil) and mix with a fork. [if you place the oil in the blender, you sauce will be pink, and will remain pink through the baking--it's up to you]
Do not add salt, the anchovies have enough salt.
{before anybody yells at me for having given them a different recipe: Please remember that I don't EVER measure anything, so my recipes may vary}
This amount of sauce makes about 4 (12") pizzas. Adjust to taste, sometimes I make five pizzas with the same amount of sauce.

My DH is a carpenter as well as all the other genius things that he is. So...we read a LOT and have MANY books, and are always running out of places to put the books. I mean, bookshelves. We looked at garage sales last summer and fall, but did not find any that were strong enough to fill with books.
DH knows that I have a very favourite bookshelf, he secretly got its dimensions and made me two more just like it.
When it gets warmer, we'll paint the new bookshelves to match the old one.
(now we are running out of wall space...good thing we can place chairs in front of the bookshelves)
These are store bought tomatoes, but I placed them on the window sill to 'ripen' as I do those from my garden. It was 81F yesterday and I think the tomatoes loved the added sunshine and natural warmth. This method of 'maturing' gives the tomatoes fuller flavour. You too, can have the full flavour of home grown tomatoes, even if they are rock-hard from the store. Plan ahead and give the tomatoes a few days to enjoy the restful maturing on a sunny window sill. (Please excuse the dark picture)

Having link problems
It seems that all of the blogs that I have as favorites on the right hand column is showing me a 'problem' and shutting down my internet connection. I've sent the report several times. We'll see what happens and how soon.
I'll close down for today, and check tomorrow.
We received almost 5 inches of snow, yesteday, it is so beautiful. This week should warm up--as the weather guy says--all the way up to 70F. Not ready for hot weather.
Hope this post will go on before my computer makes that 'noise' again.
